Today My Father Turns 80!

On election day 2016, my father, Henry F. Cooper will turn 80 years old! Personally, these past five years helping my father, to the best of my ability, has been a true privilege. I have had a front row seat watching someone I consider a true American Patriot doing all he personally can do to help protect the American public from the clear and present danger that is posed through the insecurity of our electric grid. Yesterday High Frontier Chairman Hank Cooper had the privilege of participating in a distinguished panel of experts at the National Press Club in Washington DC. The topics discussed included our perilous National Security situation on our southern border, especially as it relates to ISIS activity taking place in the Middle East. Also discussed was Homeland Security’s loss of some 6,000 students who have overstayed their student visas and are now unaccounted for.

Today’s electric power grid, which has evolved over most of the last century, has vulnerabilities that previously have led to cascading failures leaving tens of millions of Americans without electricity for days. Fictional, but realistic TV dramas have illustrated the disaster of losing the grid for 10 days in a cyberattack. An indefinite loss of the grid due to a natural or manmade electromagnetic attack would create societal collapse. Read Full Story
