Due to time constraints I outline in this post, I was not able to give the full introduction of Frank Gaffney on Saturday – so I wanted to share it here. Also included in this post is the full video of Saturday’s South Carolina National Security Action Summit.

Duncan, as a Member of the House Committee on Homeland Security and the Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) Caucus, Rep. Duncan hopes to bring more attention to this very serious issue and to improve grid security, including co-sponsoring legislation to provide hardware solutions to protect the grid against EMP. As he observed, “It is vital to our national security that the United States homeland does not remain vulnerable to an EMP attack.”
“The [new] missile and the launch pad indicate that Iran’s ballistic missile program, which is an integral part of its nuclear weapons program, is moving forward at full throttle. The expanded range of Iran’s ballistic missile program as indicated by the satellite imagery makes clear that its nuclear weapons program is not merely a threat to Israel, or to Israel and Europe. It is a direct threat to the United States as well.“ ~ Caroline Glick, The Jerusalem Post, January 22, 2015
“America, for all that we’ve endured; for all the grit and hard work required to come back; for all the tasks that lie ahead, know this: The shadow of crisis has passed, and the State of the Union is strong. ~ President Barak Obama, January 20, 2015
High Frontier Chairman Hank Cooper will be joined by Retired Major General Les Isner at the sold out South Carolina Tea Party Coalition Conference today at 3:20. We hope you will join the discussion via webcast!
“We still face more complex and ambitious plots that follow the now sadly well established approach of Al Qaeda and its imitators: attempts to cause large scale loss of life, often by attacking transport systems or iconic targets. We know, for example, that a group of core Al Qaeda terrorists in Syria is planning mass casualty attacks against the West.“ ~ MI5 Director Andrew Parker, January 8, 2015
The nation’s nuclear power plants are both: 1) A serious hazard to all Americans if not protected—and alternatively, 2) If they are protected, an important countermeasure because they can play a major role in recovering the electric grid if it fails from either a natural or manmade electromagnetic pulse (EMP) event—or from other threats, such as from physical or cyber attacks.
If we lose the electric grid for an indefinite period, the loss of electricity would bring our “just in time economy” to a full stop—with dire consequences for all Americans. Most would die within a year.
